Our home is a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath townhome on Long Island. It is 3-story, with a garage and home office on the 1st floor. Upstairs is our main living space with the kitchen, dining room, living room, and half bath. Finally, a trip up our second staircase leads you to our master bedroom, spare bedroom, and full bath.
Having moved from a very tiny, very old apartment to our newer home, we were relieved to finally be free from ant infestations, leaky old sinks, sinking shower floors, and those dreaded stucco walls that I would constantly smack by accident.
After moving into our new home, we started doing some small, inexpensive projects around the house to make it our own. After all, we live in a community of 80 identical townhomes and we want to stand out when we decide to sell eventually. We quickly learned that there are plenty of things to do in a house, even if it was only built 8 years ago. We're tackling all those builder grade eyesores one project at a time.
This is our step-by-step journey.
